Amsterdam After Hours: Tulips, Tours and Temptation

Our alarms went off at 3:00 a.m. and we caught the shuttle to Dublin Airport for our flight to Amsterdam via Aer Lingus. We made quick work of the transit system and dropped our luggage at the our hotel, The G Experience. We enjoyed breakfast at Bagels & Beans.

Bold in Brussels: Beauty, Beer and Belgian Bites

The morning started with a train ride from Amsterdam Centraal to Brussels-Midi. Our stomachs were growling, so we took the tram to Wolf: a food hall in the center of the city. I ordered tequeños and arepa de cholo. Jeff and I split salchipapas and I tried some dim sum – all of which was delicious!

Happy Birthday in Paris

An early start to the morning, Ashley and I took the train out west for a journey through the Palace of Versailles. The palace is a former royal residency built by King Louis XIV and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. Chandeliers hung from every ceiling, the walls were covered in velvet and paintings found around every corner. My favorite room was the Hall of Mirrors: 357, to be exact! It was absolutely beautiful!

Imagine Ireland: The Ideal Irish Roadtrip

After a 12-hour travel day, Jeff and I landed in Dublin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and picked up our rental car. For those who don’t know: in Ireland the driver sits on the right side of the car and they drive on the left side of the road. Absolute CHAOS. Eventually we arrived at the Lyndon Guesthouse, our home for the evening.

London Lowdown: Big Ben, The Beatles and Bustling Bars

Upon arriving at London Heathrow International Airport we took the underground to our hotel to drop off our luggage. We wasted no time and chose Abbey Road as our first adventure. (I see you, Beatles fans!) Jeff and I snuck through the crowd and dodged a few cars for photos and visited the gift shop.

Luxembourg Luxury

This morning we took a 3.5 hour train from Brussels to Luxembourg. Located between France, Belgium and Germany, this tiny country is about the size of the US state of Rhode Island! After checking into our hotel we had lunch at QoSQo where we enjoyed gourmet quesadillas. Our first attraction was Grand Ducal Palace, home of the Grand Duke. Around the corner was Notre Dame Cathedral. The chiming of its bell could be heard throughout the entire city.
